Hardboard
Traditional hardboard is used for floor covering and the levelling out of old wooden floor boards. It provides a clean smooth surface ready for the application of a choice of various floor coverings. One of the faces is smooth, the other is a coarse texture that aids to securing of the board to the substrate. Hardboard is usually easy to work with using conventional wood working tools. Being thin, it also offers a good deal of flexibility on projes.
Its manufacture from very fine wood fibres, makes it a particularly cost effective board that can be used for a wide range of different applications such as floor covering, general decoration, doors, displays, signs and panels as well as wardrobe backs, cabinet and drawer bottoms etc.
